Science Education and Outreach

I've volunteered with NSB since 2010 at regional competitions and the annual national competition in Washington, D.C. I started as a content creator for the Earth and Space category of the competition in 2014, and took over as head of Earth and Space subject area in 2015. To date I've written over 3,500 questions and edited over 6,000 questions for regional and national competitons. Here are some samples of the regional and national questions.

I started volunteering with the Massachusetts regional NOSB competition (Blue Lobster Bowl) hosted at MIT in 2015. I have contributed as a question writer for buzzer questions and team challenge questions in recent years. I have also participated in a graduate student research pannel discussions, giving high school students an opportunity to learn about careers and research in oceanography.
